MakingTaking Diptychs - Final

I think your diptychs are very strong. The relationship between each photo and scan-o-gram is very apparent, which adds to their effectiveness as a pair. The colors within these diptychs are really vivid, which makes them very interesting to look at. Although there isn't much mystery, the diptychs still stand out and are memorable.
My favorite of these is the handicapped sign/bow tie pair. I think the colors in this diptych really pop and are very arresting. I like the way the connection between the two goes beyond just opposite colors, with the shapes and depth adding new levels to it.
My least favorite of these is I think the candy/wires combo. I think that the connection is really clear, but the interpretative scan-o-gram is a little lackluster. The colors are great, but I wish that there was something else there as opposed to just a flat background.
    Overall, great work!

  2. As we said in class, you used the color in your diptychs very well. Some of your photos could definitely stand alone, but I think they all work really well together. Which is the point of a diptych right? Again as I said in class, I'm pretty happy with your choices to not change the scan-o-grams, although I am glad you experimented with other textures in the jelly bean/wire one.
